How to update your Legal Business Name/Tax ID in CardPointe

Log into CardPointe at http://cardpointe.com/

Type in your username and password. If you have forgotten your password, click Forgot Password

Once logged in to CardPointe, click the Support tab

Click Create Ticket

If you only have one location, your location will automatically be pulled. If you have more than one account with CardChamp, choose the correct location from the drop down.

To update or correct your legal business name and.or Federal Tax ID, select the Legal/Tax ID ticket reason.

The following fields need submitted to update your Legal Business Name / Tax ID as shown in the image above:

New Legal Name: Your new or corrected legal business name for this merchant account. (The entity name you file your business taxes under).

New Tax ID: Nine digit Federal Tax ID number. 

Attachments: To verify your new information and protect against potential fraud, one of the following documents are needed: 

W-9 form, SS-4 IRS issuance letter, 147C EIN Verification Letter, Most recent tax return

Tax ID: Current Federal Tax ID # that you had submitted with your merchant account.

SSN Last 4: The last 4 digits of the SSN for the account signer.

Signer Name: The account owner's current First and Last Name, required to sign the form.

You will be notified via the support ticket and email when the Legal Business Name and/or Federal Tax ID have been updated. Please be aware, updates can take up to five business days. If any additional information is needed, you will be notified of this as well.
